Background/Product
The business venture is built around the problems companies have with disposing of empty plastic chemical drums. Companies that have empty plastic drums to are obliged to dispose of them in compliance with environmental regulations; industry standards; and best practice.
The Problem:
Recent EU regulations class empty plastic drums as recyclable packaging. This means they can no longer go to landfill and must be recycled.
Un-rinsed drums are now classed as hazardous waste and can only be shipped off site with a licensed hazardous waste contractor. This is expensive costing between €6 and €10 per drum.
Recyclers will only take drums that are rinsed and certified to be rinsed.
Disposing of empty drums is a problem that companies are obliged to deal with properly.
The Solution:
We supply a drum disposal system that will enable companies to comply with their environmental obligations safely, consistently, and cost effectively.
Their operator rinses the drums with our automatic drum rinsing machine, safely and consistently using the minimum amount of water necessary to rinse the residues from the drum.
The drums will then be chopped into flakes and bagged by our drum chopping machine. This machine is still in development.
The plastic is then presented to the recycler in the most suitable format for them.

Products:
All our products are our own designs. We have a patent application lodged for the drum chopper.
Our products were developed to meet expressed market needs.
Current Position:
We have some products already on the market with some more in development.
We have sales to 5 Irish based multi-nationals and 1 in the UK.
