Software developers use models to describe, at a very high level, how the system they are building fits together and works.
Models help the software developers to efficiently communicate what components are in the system, how the components work with each other and what each component does.
Unfortunately for the software developers, the models they use to communicate and reason about their systems are usually inaccurate!
Such inaccuracy can diminish the quality of the system, cause delays to development & maintenance projects, reduce the productivity of the development team and significantly increase short- & long-term costs.

Ciarán Greene
Ciarán Greene graduated from the University of Limerick in 2006 with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Computer Systems.
He started working in GPXS Research & Development (formerly Galty Technologies) as a Software Quality Engineer in June 2006. In November 2006 he became a Software Engineer and joined the team responsible for developing GPXS R & D’s core Enterprise-Level product, the Mobile Service Manager.
In October 2007 he attained the position of Senior Software Engineer, with responsibilities including the architecture, design and development of MSM.
Throughout his employment in GPXS R & D he has endeavoured to develop the product in accordance with best software development practices and has endeavoured to be a part of Software Process Improvement within the development team.
In May 2008 he left GPXS Research and Development to become a participant on the Limerick Enterprise Acceleration Platform program, a business incubation program based in the Enterprise Acceleration Centre on the Limerick Institute of Technology campus.
