What is LEAP?
LEAP – Limerick Enterprise Acceleration Platform is a tailor made programme designed to support entrepreneurs to establish high performance companies. We are looking for TEN people* who can create award winning businesses.
Why?
Ireland Inc needs to create and develop new businesses to continue its economic growth. Entrepreneurs require dedicated supports within a start-up enterprise focused environment to accelerate business success.
Where?
LEAP participants will be based in the new Enterprise Acceleration Centre (EAC) located on campus @ Limerick Institute of Technology. You will be based in a shared office (desk, chair, with access to phone and broadband) facility at no charge for the 12 months. Further information @ www.lit.ie/eac
How?
The LEAP programme provides an integrated model of business coaching, management development training (professional and interpersonal skills), access to experienced business mentors, and business clinics - practical supports to ensure superior business planning thereby creating a platform for your business to succeed by achieving the sales that will make your business profitable.
Was the first year a success?
Programme management would say YES and we will introduce you to any of the LEAP 2007 participants so that you can ask them.
Cost?
There are no fees as the National Development Plan provides financial support to LIT to deliver this programme over the 12 month period.
Can I still work?
No. This is a full time programme to give each business the best platform for success so you will need to consider your personal funding requirements for the year.
Participants on LEAP may receive additional funding to bring their remuneration up to 50% of previous salary, up to a maximum of EUR 38,000, subject to a participant's eligibility for Enterprise Ireland's CORD support.
When?
The LEAP Programme 2008 runs from May 2008 to May 2009– 12 intensive months that could change your life forever if you are ready to embrace this challenge.
