ManageCO2 is a software development company providing quality solutions to help global organisations manage, report and reduce their Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and Carbon footprint, in accordance with the internationally recognized standards and best practices.
The Problem
With increasing political will, legislation and movement towards green consumerism, companies are increasingly more active in their pursuit of lower greenhouse gas emissions. In order to measure and report these emissions, environmental managers are using complex spreadsheets provided by the World Resource Institute (www.wri.org) for the calculations on a site by site basis. Often by the time, this manual work is complete, the report is out of date, the data was collected in an inconsistent manner, and reporting this data to multiple stakeholders can be very time consuming.
The Solution
ManageCO2 Software measures and reports an organisation’s energy usage and greenhouse gas emission through a combination of manual and automatic data collection. With ease of use and automation at the core of our software, ManageCO2 ensures that greenhouse gas emissions data and energy usage data is collected accurately in accordance with international and country specific standards and protocols, and is reported in real-time.
Through interactive and automated reporting and project management functionality, ManageCO2 software can also help organisations maximise the effectiveness of their energy and emissions reduction activities budget, and deliver additional shareholder value.
Current Status:
ManageCO2 1.0 release is in development, and we are preparing for pilot launch with two Irish based US multinationals in the coming months.
The Team:
The team currently consists of three fully qualified and very experienced sales, marketing and software architecture and development personnel.

Adrian’s career started as a business/systems Analyst with Accenture Technology Consulting, where he received early promotion to Software Consultant/Technical Architect for his innovative work on a very successful financial services and banking software application. Adrian left Accenture in Dublin to move closer to home and took the position of IT project manager with Dell Limerick in 2007, managing a series of very successful software development projects. Throughout his time in Accenture and Dell, Adrian has had extensive experience reporting and communicating data, and projects to multiple stakeholders at corporate level, justifying expenditure with key financial data as well as reporting status in a concise graphical manner. Since early 2007, Adrian has had a fascination with environmental management, and the impact of industry to climate change. With his background in innovative problem solving through software design and development, he identified an opportunity to develop software to make environmental managers and directors lives easier, in the measurement and reporting and reduction of such emissions.

Through the training provided on the LEAP programme, I am being assisted to adjust to life outside of a corporate environment, and fill the gaps in my experience and knowledge of business.
